Peninsula Short Film Fest

Massive kudos must go to Steve Bastoni and Meg Pascoe for their efforts in making the Peninsula Short Film Fest what it is becoming. Founded in 2011, the PSFF is held in Rosebud on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula and now spans three days!

Held in early February in one of the nicest parts of Australia, the PSFF is a welcome addition to the short film festival circuit. It fits in nicely with the other Melbourne and Victorian festivals.

Picnic rugs on the grass and a wine are the order of the night. Some might say it’s the best way to enjoy a short film festival. The event is well catered and the marquees add a classy touch.

12 short films are aired on Saturday night, with winners taking home some pretty nice prizes, as well as cash. The event is no longer a secret get; entries now number into the hundreds.

PSFF Entries

Elfenshot entered ‘Diffraction’ into the PSFF in 2015, where we finished a very close ‘not accepted’. The film length limit of eight minutes aims the PSFF at the same target filmmaker as the Tropfest entrant (indeed, many entries feature that year’s Tropest Signature Item). Although we didn’t submit anything for 2016, we will definitely have something for next year.
